Our National Debt Crisis: What does this Mean for Private Health Care Professionals

Thursday, June 9th, 2011

I have made this video about 2 months ago. I have found that many dentists and doctors are not aware of how the national deficit problem will filter down to all of us. There is some kind of a “detachment”, some kind of idea that “whatever happen on a national level will not affect me on a smaller level.”

So I am releasing this video here.

The last 15 years has been the best financial years in our lifetime in this country. Credit was easy and consumers could purchase easily. Patient referrals come easily and doctors could get by with little to no external marketing efforts to keep their practice surviving.

However, in the last 2-3 years, trends have changed.

  • Consumers are no longer as affluent as before.
  • Patients are caught in the recession with job losses and thus insurance losses.
  • Insurances are cutting re-imbursements to doctors.
  • Patients are no longer as loyal as before – they are looking for the best deal as there are so many choices out there.
  • Word-of-mouth is no longer enough to make a practice full with good new patients
  • Direct marketing has lost many of its percentage in returns and it has become a price war of ‘which doctor is cheaper?’

In the next several years, money will never ever flow as easily as it has been in those last 15 years, and yet most dentists, doctors have not been able to set a nest egg aside in those last 15 years.

Are You Making these Common Link Building Mistakes

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

Matt Callen new link building program Seolinkvine is better than MyArticleNetwork? Find out more now.

The majority of the online marketers realize that to be successful with SEO, getting relevant backlinks to your site is important. So they work hard to find and acquire all the relevant backlinks they can to maximize their search engine traffic. However, there are many times when these link building efforts don’t yield the right results due to some common mistakes.

Every marketer makes mistakes, and sometimes they are costly ones. So that’s why it’s a good idea to learn from others with more experience. This article will show you how to deal with these linking mistakes, after you learn how to spot them.

One mistake seen is using an image for a link when it’s possible to create a text link using a relevant keyword/phrase. One of the reasons webmasters tend to ignore the minor details is because they’re in a hurry to build their links and get results. Anchor text falls in this category. A text link with your relevant keywords/phrases is a better choice, even though an image link can possibly get you more traffic. It is not true that an image link will always produce better SEO results than text links. In the end, your traffic will be more targeted due to the keywords in your text links. Search engines give higher SEO scores to relevant keywords in anchor text. An image link is acceptable if it’s the only link available.

Another common link building mistake is working on getting backlinks from sites that have separate links pages, or dedicated pages filled with other links. You’ll see far better results getting a link from a page that doesn’t already send out backlinks to hundreds of other sites. Many of these pages happen to have 200+ backlinks and having your link among all these links wouldn’t make much of a difference. However, some directories will use a ‘nofollow’ tag on backlinks showing on their pages. This means even if there were 200+ links on that one page, with most of them being “nofollow, excluding yours, then it will count.

Overall, you’ll gain far better results from a link building strategy that avoids these common mistakes. It will only be a matter of time before you have strong backlinks that help you with your search engine rankings.

Careful Planning Goes Into Successful Career Moves

Monday, September 13th, 2010

Was your last professional job change a career move or a just another job change?

The last time you left one employer to join another, how much thought did you give to the long-term implications of the change you were about to make?

For the past decade, it has been relatively easy for security professionals to move from one employer to another on a regular basis. Some in the security profession have made carefully planned career moves while others have simply made a series of job changes.   You may be wondering …. what difference does it make?   I’m doing well by simply having a job right now aren’t I?

Chosing between having a job and sitting on the sidelines is a simple choice.  It is better to be employed than not employed regardless of the job market’s conditions.  No argument here.

When companies hire an executive security recruiter to fill a strategically important security job in their company, many factors are discussed between the employer and the security recruiter.

For example, employers frequently bring up the topic of job changes. There is a very fine line between one security professional having too many jobs over a period of time and another security professional having just enough change in their career to show depth and breadth of skill, diversity in employment experiences and variety and growth in responsibilities.

The next time you’re thinking about moving from one employer to another, ask yourself the following questions. Some questions apply to those on a CSO / CISO track while other questions are better suited to security professionals on an engineer / architect track.

Some questions apply to all technology  professionals.

  • If I make this change, how will my skills and responsibilities change over the next 2-3 years ?
  • What will my resume likely look like in 2-3 years if I make this change?
  • Is the change I’m  considering   putting me closer to my long term career objectives ?
  • Will I have an opportunity to build a program or a series of programs in the new company ?
  • Will my level of responsibility increase, stay the same or decrease if I take the new job?
  • Will I be  leading, guiding, mentoring or managing   people in the new job? If so, how many people and how soon ?
  • Are enough resources allocated to the new job for me to be successful?
  • Will I manage a budget in the new job?  Will the next budget be bigger or smaller than my current budget?
  • Will my technical skills broaden, stay the same or decrease if I take the new job?
  • Is there a clear path for personal growth in the new job? (Growth can be up if you’re on a CISO path and growth can be horizontal if you’re on more of a security engineer / security architect track)
  • Are there clear objectives to be met that will enable others to measure my accomplishments and clearly see my contribution to the company in the new job?
  •  Who will see my work in the new company?
  • Is the reporting structure connected to the new job clear?
  • Is security positioned highly enough in the new company for me to be successful?
  • Will I be able to learn from my new boss?

There are more questions to be asked before moving to a new employer. Hopefully these questions will give you a basis from which to add even more questions. If you measure the new job opportunity against questions like these and if the answers you come up with are positive, you may be making a well-thought-out  career move rather than a short-term job change.

If after measuring a new job opportunity against these questions, you’re frequently not sure of the answer, you either have more work to do before making a decision or you may have enough uncertainty staring you in the face to make a decision to walk away.

If you struggle with the questions shown above and the core reason you find yourself attracted to a new job is primarily money, more often than not you’re contemplating a job change. A job change will lead to another job change sooner than later because most job changes are not made based on sound business logic. You’ll get used to the new level of income sooner than you think.  It won’t be long before the new level of income isn’t enough.  You’ll start looking for the next financial bump.

To make well-planned career moves  versus job changes, a bit of careful planning  is necessary. Security  professionals who have made carefully planned-out and carefully measured career moves are the candidates who are most likely to fit into the requirements that land on the desk of a highly specialized security recruiter.

Here’s My Opinion of AffiloBlueprint 2

Monday, September 13th, 2010

There is so much to learn when you are finding your way as an affiliate marketer. A lot of the information that you come across will do nothing but confuse you more because it might be contradictory to something you read the day before or just plain wrong. Everyone’s advice is not equal; so, who to listen to? And this is especially true when choosing a product to spend your money and time on; will it work? Everyone has to face these setbacks but they can be minimized. Mark Ling’s AffiloBlueprint was a hit for a reason and has given him the reputation to thrive in this market; now he is releasing AffiloBlueprint 2 which is sure to take many more people to the next level. Affiloblueprint can be applied to any niche, like the brother hl-2170w review niche.

The best thing about AffiloBlueprint 2 is that you can create and successfully repeat the process hundreds of times with different streams of income and then some. Your path to success will be a little less rougher with these multiple streams of income. Mark Ling’s course is not a use it once and throw it away course. The lessons of this course simply won’t expire; now, you may have to make a small adjustment here and there. To increase your income dramatically is as simple as following the instructions and doing it over again.

We discussed the main AffiloBlueprint course and the software tools but buyers will also receive a number of other bonuses. Even the affiliates are including their own bonuses. It’s hard to find a deal like this from most other courses.

The truth is that most expensive products do come with one, sometimes, two bonuses but that’s all. It is possible for you to receive up to six times as many bonuses with AffiloBluprint 2 as you would when purchasing another product.

With AffliloBlueprint 2, you get more than valuable information: also included is a WordPress template. So many affiliate marketing courses just assume that you know how to install and use WordPress. Even though you may have no experience using WordPress, you have to find your own themes and templates. When you order this course, you don’t have to worry about finding a template, because you are given one. Creating your first website becomes much easier when you have the perfect, custom template to use. This AffiloBlueprint 2 bonus is a great help if you don’t want to have to learn from scratch how to set up a WordPress template, or fork out a couple of hundred dollars buying one. This is just not offered with other courses or products.

Affiliate marketing is how most people make their money online. It does take work, but it’s definitely possible to build a very profitable business as an affiliate marketer. Many people started out with it part time and eventually were able to quit their jobs and become full time internet marketers.

The purpose of AffiloBlueprint 2 is to transform you into such a person. This course does what many others only claim to do, making it a great investment for anyone who wants to succeed in this business. AffiloBlueprint 2 is perfect for anyone just starting out, or for people who need help getting to a new level in their marketing efforts.

My Personal Story of why I am So Excited of Our New Become a Bestseller Program

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

I have known and heard, about the power of being an author for a very long time.

I have heard that through my travels of about 12 countries, where I made a living.

I have met people who were authors, down in Africa, as well as in Switzerland and everywhere in between where I lived.

But I never gravitated towards writing my own book.

After all, I barely made it through German classes without flunking them in Austria where I went to school and did my engineer training.

But 2 years ago, I attended a public relations meeting in NY, meeting about 100 reporters, editors, producers for top channels, shows, magazines etc.

I talked to one of the editors of a famous health magazine about the fact that people who are tired do not perform so well in the workplace. I told her that I observed that tired people lack imagination not only to set great goals, but also to overcome everyday work problems.

The editor liked the idea and asked me whether I am a doctor? I said no.
