Persistence is a key element the thing most missing in business people. It’s not that they are not persistent in some areas of their profession or of life in general. They definitely are, especially when it comes to being persistent in doing things the hard way!

Too often, business people tell me, “I have tried this or that marketing program for two, three, six or eight months. It did not work, so I dropped it.”

One or all of the following is usually happening:

1. It was not done long enough and was given up just before results were starting to show.
2. It was not done in large enough quantity even though it was done for a long period of time. Because of not enough push and momentum, it never had a chance of working.
3. It was not done right – or to perfection, therefore ; thus the expected outcome did not happen.turn out.
4. Not enough knowledge about thewhole thing overall picture, and as a result, he could not pinpoint where the failure has come in. He usually gives up and turns everything into an unworkable task for himself. Perhaps the activity or area the person tries to improve is not the activity or area which needs improving!writes the whole thing off as “not workable for me”!

Lastly, not having enough persistence to get the knowledge required to succeed, is where persistence is missing the most!
